Shh! Why is it so quiet?

Avid readers of this blog will have noticed we have gone rather quiet of late.

For this many apologies - we have been having a few technical problems. Hopefully normal service will now resume.

Shh is something of a loaded word for librarians - part of an image problem the profession has. For our part we do try and maintain a reasonable level of quiet in the Knowledge & Library Service because this is what people consistently ask us to do. The Library Reading Room is a good venue for group work where you can safely make a bit more noise without disturbing too many people.

I am afraid most of the noise in the library tends to come from the librarians!
